Even if you're already working with a contractor, Homeowners Design Center can make your building project so much easier. Some contractors invite their customers into our showroom to help choose materials. We can go over the benefits of each type of product whether it's cabinets or flooring and really educate our customers in what's available.

The Process: How we can help

Homeowners Design Center can supervise your project from beginning to end, ensuring continuity and peace of mind. Here is what to expect when you walk in our door:

1. Begin with measurements or a showroom visit.

You are greeted and asked questions to determine your needs. We will fill out a "job sheet" with pertinent information about you and your project. We show you samples of materials available and make recommendations on the products that may suit your needs.

If you have brought measurements we can schedule a design consultation or provide a quick estimate for you. If there are no measurements available we will schedule an appointment to measure the job site. At the job site, we inspect your current layout and design to make sure we understand your needs. We also check for areas of technical concern that may not be listed on a blueprint.

2. Our quality designs prove we listen.

Allow one of our experienced staff to bring your project to life with design suggestions, 3-D cabinet renderings and coordinated product selection. Our rendering program can provide a virtual tour, allowing you to experience your new space before it is built.

We will review our design with you and revise it based on your specifications, then we draw up a quote.

3. Order on time and on budget for the best value.

Of course we offer very competitive pricing on our products and services. This is how we have always done business and has helped us become a leader in our industry in Hawaii. And because we work with so many vendors you have a choice of materials to ensure we can stay within your budget.

Once you accept the design and quote, we will sign an agreement and take a deposit. We then order the materials and inform your and/or the contractor of the expected arrival time.

4. We follow through for your peace of mind.

When customers are working with us, we know what is going on with their project. We know when products are ordered, how long it will take to get here and when customers can expect arrival at their home, and we follow up to ensure our customers are satisfied. And if there are any issues with your order you have us on your side. This smooth working relationship makes partnering with us that much easier.

We will coordinate the delivery and installation of your materials, or coordinate with your general contractor for installation. And we follow up after your project is complete to ensure your satisfaction.
